This page applies specifically to items purchased via a monthly payment plan on HX | Hive eXperience (a listing, business product, marketplace product, course, or event ticket offered with the option to pay monthly instead of, or as well as, in full upfront). It supplements, and doesn't replace, the main Terms of Service.
If you choose a monthly payment plan, you authorise HX to charge your PayPal account the agreed monthly amount automatically, once a month, for the number of months in the term you selected (for example, 6 months at a fixed monthly amount). This is set up through PayPal's own recurring billing feature, using the payment method you approve with PayPal at checkout.
Billing stops automatically once the full term has been paid, there is no need to cancel a plan that runs its full course.
Where the seller offers it, you can choose to pay the full term in one payment instead of monthly, usually at a discount to the total you'd pay monthly. This is a single one-time payment, not a recurring charge, there is nothing further to bill or cancel once it's paid.
You can cancel a monthly plan at any time from your account. Cancelling stops future billing, it does not create a refund for payments already made. Refunds of instalments aren't handled through the platform's refund requests; if something has gone wrong, contact the seller, or open a dispute with PayPal. You keep access to whatever you're paying for until the end of the period you've already paid for, then access ends. There is no early-termination fee.
A seller may also end a subscriber's plan in cases of a dispute or a breach of the Terms of Service, following the same access-until-period-end approach described above.
If a monthly charge fails (for example, a declined card behind your PayPal account), PayPal will automatically retry it a few times before the plan is marked as having a failed payment. You'll be notified in-app if this happens. Persistent payment failure may result in the plan being suspended and access ending once your last successfully paid period runs out.
The monthly amount and discount you agreed to at signup stays fixed for the length of your term, it will not change partway through, even if the seller later changes the price for new subscribers.
Some events run as a series of sessions on different dates. If the host has chosen to lower the price as sessions pass, joining after one or more sessions have already happened costs only the share for the sessions left, for a one-off payment, a monthly plan or paying a plan upfront. A monthly plan is then spread over no more months than there are sessions left. Checkout shows the full price, today's price and why, and the amount and number of payments shown there is what you agree to.
As with all purchases on HX, you are contracting directly with the seller, not with Elevated Experience Ltd. HX facilitates the payment and takes a platform commission (see the main Terms of Service), but is not a party to the underlying sale of goods or services.
